7/28/2016

Plants and animals may have split off to form different branches of the evolutionary tree eons ago, but we still share alot of similarities. For example both our cells and that of our green cousins are eukaryotic (refer to previous article).

But this article will highlight the differences, not just for convenience, but due to their different needs and functions.

Cell Membranes: Going Into The Details

5/14/2016

Secondary school Biology seldom go into the details, the structure of a cell is an example of this. We were taught that cells consists of the nucleus, mitochondria, chloroplasts, walls and such, but that's pretty much it. We bet that teachers could go deeper into the subject with no risk of confounding their students. We therefore challenge the teachers to add value to their syllabus, starting from the basics.

Cikgus, make us proud and prove us right.

Ah, water. It's been around all our lives and all our planet's life. So we ought to know everything there is to know about it, right? Not really. Water is probably the most unique chemical in the universe, it's properties are still a mystery to us even after centuries of research. But that shouldn't stop you from gulping it down. Unless you're talking about homeopathic 'medicine'. Throw that in the garbage can right now.

So what's new with H2O? Quite a lot.
