With Part 1 we covered the origins of physics, the questions that gave birth to it as well as the though process of early physicists. With Part 2, physics came of age with the application of the scientific method and mathematics.

In this third part of the series, we discuss how physics itself is applied to the real world and its problems.

For much of human history, harnessing power have been the main goal in most of its engineering endeavors. However there's another story to that, that of transmitting and controlling that power. There's no point to have something if you can't use it or control it.

This article is an overview of that history...

So what is the world made of? This is certainly something we had taken for granted, even though we experience it with our senses – what we eat, smell, touch and see.

​Certainly with the advancement of chemistry throughout the ages, we have managed to create thing not found in nature, but how did we make sense of the nature of things so that we can manipulate them?

​In Part 1, we covered the history of π, it’s properties, where it came from, and the race to find the largest number of decimal points.

​In Part 2, we’ll finally get into the story of the Man Who Saved π.

Continuing from Part 1, we will now explore how physics expands from the realm of observable theories to experimental practices.
